Hi. New to the game. Like it so far, but I'm having an issue with recruiting someone. In one of the towns, there is someone you can recruit called Anna Beth. When I say to Alexa to hire her, it thinks I'm saying Anna Bell which I'm not. To the developers, maybe make a command where I can say "Hire person with the most hit points" rather than just the name. Then maybe Alexa wouldn't have so much issues with the name. Until then, how should I word it to her that I want to hire this person? Many thanks.

I'm sorry you are having trouble hiring someone. Looks like "Annabeth" isn't a particular good name, phonetically. I've done my best to select phonetically distinct ones, but some time some slip through.
However, there is hope. First off, if it can't match the name exactly, it looks for a match that has the same first sounds. So "anna" on its own might match. Secondly, if that doesn't match, it looks for something with the same first letter. So maybe try "apple". Lastly, you can actually specify an option by number. Try "first", "second", or "one", "two".
If none of that works, hire the best you can. Let me know the town you are in, how many miles you have travelled, and how far you have ranged. (You can get this by saying "about".) I'll then try to find your record and tweak the character you hired to be that high hit point favorite.

Hi. It says that I'm in the Hamlet of Craydon. I have traveled 6 miles and ranged up to 134 miles from my starting point. I'm in the hiring hall and it looks like the characters you can recruit have changed since I wrote this yesterday. Now there's a character with 10 hit points that I want to hire called Elijah, but again when I tell Alexa to hire him, it assumes I want to fire one of my characters named Evelyn. I've also said things like hire 3 or hire number 3, but she doesn't understand. Any more ideas?

Ok, I got Elijah. I had to say his name without the E so that Alexa would understand me. Now I'm in a different town, the Village of ShipsHaven, and in the hiring hall there's a character named Cicero. again, I try hiring him and it doesn't understand me. That's why I said that it would be nice if there was a command to hire the person with the most hit points rather than saying the name, as it appears that Alexa has a hard time understanding names that aren't common to her.
